Snapshot of Australians’ perceptions of community sector

A new report reveals significant disparities in Australians’ perceptions of the community sector. The Community Compass report, commissioned by Our Community and the Community Council for Australia, identifies six distinct segments among Australians based on their attitudes toward and engagement with the sector.

The report supports the sector’s vital role in enhancing social cohesion, urging policymakers and community leaders to address these varied perspectives to foster a more supportive and unified society.
